PRINCIPLES OF BELIEF

I practice rites to attune myself with the natural rhythms of Nature marked by the phases of the Moon.

I acknowledge a depth of power far greater than is apparent to the average person. This power is sometimes called “supernatural” but I see it as a natural potential.

I see religion, magic, and wisdom-in-living as being united in the way one views the world and lives within it – a philosophy of life I identify as Witchcraft.

Calling oneself "Witch" does not make a Witch - but neither does heredity, titles, degrees, or initiations. A Witch seeks to control the forces within herself that makes life possible in order to live wisely and well, without harm to others, and in harmony with Nature.

I do not accept the concept of “absolute evil,” nor do I worship any entity known as “satan” or “the devil” as defined by other religions. I do not seek power through the suffering of others, nor do I accept the idea that personal benefits can be achieved through denial to another.

Thoughts, actions, and intent put forth on this planet resonate in the worlds beyond, therefore a Witch must live a life of conscious discipline and responsible use of power. Let her not fall prey to the fury of the moment, but contemplate the results of her acts upon others.

Those who follow the Mysteries must be above reproach. A Witch’s word is given sparingly, but adhered to as though it were iron-clad. Be honest with others, and expect honesty from them in return.
